Stewart Mackinnon is one of the founding members of Headline Pictures. He studied fine art at Edinburgh College on an Andrew Grant scholarship, studied film at the Royal College of Art and then in Berlin on a DAAD scholarship.
He is an International EMMY winner and a BAFTA nominee, and his awards include The Dennis Potter Award, 3 Royal Television Awards, the Banff and Grierson Awards. He produced the first drama series for new writers to television which was financed by the BBC.
