In 1945, Hermann Göring , a top Nazi official, was captured and taken to an American detention center in Luxembourg. He arrived with suitcases filled with valuable items and a hidden stash of cyanide. Captain Douglas M. Kelley, an army psychiatrist, was assigned to assess the mental well-being of the Nazi captives. Surprisingly, Kelley developed a unique relationship with Göring and started to understand him, despite his evil nature.
