In the summer of 1868, 14-year-old Sherlock Holmes, on break from boarding school, stays with his eccentric uncle and aunt in Hampshire. When two locals die from plague-like symptoms, Holmes investigates with his new tutor, an American named Amyus Crowe. This marks the start of Holmes’ education in detection as he unravels the sinister deeds of a cunning villain.
