Project Summary:
A boy grows up without a father but is surrounded with unlikely surrogates: the patrons who haunt a pub in Manhasset, Long Island where his uncle tends bar. He eventually breaks into journalism as a copy-boy at “The New York Times” and goes on to win a Pulitzer for feature writing at the “L.A. Times.”
