Nick Allander, suffocating in debt, seizes a drastic opportunity after his mother’s passing, abandoning his career and possessions to secretly live in her foreclosed home’s garage. Keeping his homelessness hidden from partner Marie, he adopts extreme frugality, securing a part-time job and reducing his debt by refurbishing a bike. Complications arise when he discovers his employer’s financial troubles, triggering unforeseen challenges at work and in his living situation.
