Barkskins, a Series to be directed by David Slade, starts filming in May in Quebec City, Canada. The project is being developed by Scott Rudin Productions, Fox 21 Television Studios and Pig Iron Theatre Company. Producers Scott Rudin, Garrett Basch and Eli Bush are helming the production.
Project Synopsis:
It chronicles the deforestation of the New World from the arrival of Europeans into the contemporary era of global warming through the stories of two immigrants to New France, Rene Sel and Charles Duquet, who work as wood-cutters – barkskins – and of their descendants.
