Project Summary:
The Post Office accused sub-postmasters of theft when their accounts showed financial discrepancies. Many were convicted and imprisoned, but it was later revealed that the errors were caused by the Post Office’s own IT system, Horizon, which they had denied for years. Alan Bates, a former sub-postmaster, has fought for justice for the affected sub-postmasters. This is his story.
